The cost of range usage is broken up into the following categories depending on the activity you want to do;
SSAA Para Membership
Perfect for anyone wanting to use the facilities more frequently, or undertake licence training for club use.
The club fee covers the cost of running the club and the SSAA fee covers the cost of running the state and national associations, plus your liability insurance.

- Please keep your daily range free receipts while your membership application is being processed, as these fees will be reduced off the total membership invoice.
- The range is open to shoot every day of the year excluding Christmas day and the morning of ANZAC day.
- Firing points may be limited on some ranges during competition days or have restrictions in place. Please look through the range program to see if it may affect you.
- Members don’t need to pay daily range fees for general sighting However, some sections have nomination fees to cover the cost of targets, BBQs ect
- Sighting in of Centerfire rifle is not to be done during rimfire field rifle / 3P matches. Please look through the range program for details.
- The main range is closed between 200m and 300yds when the shotgun section is shooting a match.

Competition Daily Range Fees (For Non – Para Members)
Visitors are welcome to shoot in our club competitions at a reduced daily range fee up to 4 times per year.

- Qualified Range Officers are present to supervise.
- Club firearms are available in most sections for new shooters to try the sport and or conduct license training. Please contact the section captain or Club Secretary so the relevant equipment can be organized.
- Ammunition can be organized through the club if required.

- The daily range fee is not in addition to any state or national championship nominations.

SSAA Moonta, SSAA Whyalla and SSAA Adelaide Muzzle Loading and Black Powder Club have reciprocal rights to shoot in competitions and will only need to pay the section nomination fee (refer to Para Member fees).
Some sections who are affiliated with other shooting organizations may have additional costs. Please contact the section captain to see if it applies to the discipline you are interested in.
Daily Range Fee (General Practice – Sighting in rifles for Non Para Members)
If shooting in a competition is not what you are after, then visitors are welcome to sight in a firearm on our main range. Please contact the clubhouse on 8289 6918 or 0434 368 000 to confirm availability.
Visitors may only access the main range for zeroing and practice if a nominated Range Officer is present. Visitors must sign in to the clubhouse and report to the range officer before brining firearms onto the Main Range. If no Range Officer is present, we regret you will not be given permission to access the Main Range.

- Daily range fees are charged per person. Visitors not shooting do not need to pay a daily range fee.
- Club firearms are not available for general sighting in.
- Please keep your daily range receipts if you have submitted a membership application as these fees will be reduced off your membership invoice.
- We ask that after your first visit to SSAA Para that you become a member of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) as this will cover your insurance. Click here for a SSAA application form.
- SSAA members are entitled to use the range facility a maximum of four times in a year before we ask you to join SSAA Para. For more information about SSAA please click here or how to join Para please click here.
- CWM members are limited to 4 visit per year. The CWM card is to be shown to SSAA Para Canteen staff, who will hole punch the CWM card. After 4 visits the club askes to either become a SSAA Para member or to pay the full $50.00 range fee. If the CWM card is not presented for noting then the $50.00 range fee will apply.
SSAA Farm Assist Program
SSAA Para offers SSAA Members the opportunity to gain accrediting to the SSAA Farm Assist Program. These cost of the accreditation is $5.00, which includes 5 shots and the accreditation. Please contact the canteen on 8289 69 18 to confirm that range space is available and an RO is present to sign off on the accreditation.
If a longer practice/general sighting in/load development is also required then the general range fee will apply.

Security Training
Security Training organisiations are to make application to the SSAA Para Council. Fees will be established through the security training agreement.
