Update to Hot Weather Policy

Effective from the 12th of February 2025, The Hot Weather Policy has been updated to cover general sighting in activities. A Range Officer will only be present on the main range (Range 1) between 10:00am and 12:30pm on days 38 degrees and over. After 12:30pm, the range will be closed for general sighting in. The hot weather policy for organised club activities remains the same.

When: 12th and 13th October 9am until 4pm
What to will we be doing:
  • Pistol Range Cladding
  • Backstop repairs (all ranges)
  • Repairing target frames
  • Replacing timbers on 100m Silhouette Range Baffles
  • Repairing fences
  • Minor earthworks
  • Vegetation management (lawns / weeding / Tree pruning)
  • Repairing Main Range Baffles
  • Cleaning the air pavilion
  • Practical Range repairs
  • Cleaning out gutters
  • Removal of rubbish
  • Wind Flag Posts on Field Target Range
What to bring
  • Rakes/shovels/wheelbarrows
  • Carpentry tools
  • ladders
  • buckets
  • Wet/dry vacuum
  • Chainsaws
  • Drills and other tools
  • Gardening equipment
  • PPE (Gloves, glasses, hearing protection ect)

Archery Returns to SSAA Para

Archey returns to SSAA Para in 2024!

After a couple of years off, Archey is set to return to SSAA Para. We will start off shooting it once a month, with the first match scheduled to occur on Sunday the 25th of February, starting at 12:30pm.

2024 Program

Calander Updates April 2023

The combined calendars for June, July, August, September and October 2023 have been updated to reflect:

  • Shotgun on the 30th of July has been moved to the 29th of July (Clash with Silhouette)
  • Shotgun on the 17th of September has been moved to the 16th of September (Clash with long range bench silhouette)
  • Junior club shoots on the main range have been added for the (11th of June, 15th of July, 19th of August and 4th of October
